Due to Avian flu concerns this Spring, we chose to not get new laying hens brought in to our farm. We had about half of our normal laying hens hence a lower than usual egg supply. We have a few babies getting ready to lay and we have ordered more babies to come in at the end of october. These will be ready to lay come Spring. At that time, we expect to have plenty of eggs for our customers. |
Turkeys! We are taking orders for turkeys now. Because bobcats and bears also like to eat our turkeys, we ordered turkeys early and are putting them in the freezer during late October. The plan is that wild apples and other wildlife foods will be plentiful until then and that our critters will be safe in freezers by the time bears and bobcats gegt hungry enought to come near our buildings and fields to have dinner.
Our turkeys will be $5.50/lb. Grain costs jhave skyrocketed this year. We expect an average of 15-20 lbs. Same turkey as usual but frozen for the safety of your Thanksgiving meal. Call us, or email us to reserve a turkey. |
